Humana Names Georgia Finance Director
Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) has named J. Scott Lenox as the health benefits company’s director of finance for its commercial operations in Georgia. For the past three years, Lenox has served as Humana’s director of finance for its commercial operations in South Florida. In his new Georgia finance role, Lenox will report to Rhonda Bagby, Humana’s chief financial officer for its southeast region commercial operations. Lenox will be based in Humana’s Atlanta market office. Prior to his South Florida position, Lenox was Humana’s manager of financial analysis from 2001 to 2003 at the company’s Louisville, KY corporate headquarters. He also was a senior financial analyst for two years for Humana’s San Antonio commercial and Medicare business. Lenox joined Humana in 1995 as an accounting supervisor for financial operations, and later served as an accountant with Humana Military Healthcare Services. Lenox is a certified managed health care professional. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Transylvania University in Lexington, KY and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

Saint Joseph’s Health System Names President and Chief Executive Officer
Saint Joseph’s Health System recently announced the appointment of Kirk G. Wilson as president and chief executive officer at Saint Joseph’s Health System. Wilson brings more than thirty years of health care experience to his new role at Saint Joseph’s. Since 1999, he has served as president of the 775-bed Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA. Prior to that, Wilson served for two years as chief executive officer at HCA’s Bay Area Medical Center in Corpus Christi, TX, and for seven years as president and chief executive officer at Montana Deaconess Medical Center in Great Falls, MT. Wilson also worked for fourteen years in increasingly responsible administrative positions at hospitals in California, Oregon, Oklahoma, and Montana. Wilson received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota, and earned a master’s degree in Hospital and Health Administration from the University of Iowa. Wilson replaces Eugene Davidson, M.D., who has served Saint Joseph’s Health System as interim president and CEO since January 2006. Dr. Davidson, a long-time surgeon and former chief of staff at Saint Joseph’s, retired from his group practice in December 2005 and agreed to serve as interim president until a new CEO was in place.

MED3OOO, Inc., a national healthcare management and technology company, recently appointed Keith Slater to the position of Vice President of Practice Management Systems for the Physician Services business unit. Slater brings to the organization over 17 years of experience in the healthcare operations and sales areas. He has been with +Medic/Misys Healthcare Systems since August of 1995 and has held other management positions related to practice management system sales, implementation, training, and research and development. Prior to Misys, Slater spent 7 years in healthcare administration forming a Physician Hospital Organization.
