Moore Named Market Leader for Tenet in Atlanta

Tenet Healthcare Corporation recently announced that William T. Moore, chief executive officer of Atlanta Medical Center, has been named market leader for Tenet’s three hospitals in the greater Atlanta area. The company also announced that Charles F. Miller, chief executive officer of Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC, has been named market leader for Tenet’s five hospitals in North and South Carolina.

Moore, who will also continue to serve as chief executive officer of Atlanta Medical Center, will report to John F. Holland, senior vice president of Tenet’s Southern States region.

Moore joined Atlanta Medical Center as chief executive officer in September 2001. Previously, he served as chief executive officer of South Fulton Medical Center. Before joining Tenet, Moore was president and owner of RT Acquisition Co. Prior to that, he was vice president of operations for Phy Matrix Corp. From 1992 to 1996, Moore was chief executive officer of Lutheran Medical Center, a former Tenet hospital in St. Louis.

He serves on the board of trustees of the Georgia Hospital Assn. and on the board of advisors for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.

Lenbrook Appoints New Medical Director

Margaret A. White, M.D., has been appointed Medical Director at Lenbrook, a nationally accredited continuing care retirement community.

Dr. White is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, VA. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee in Memphis and also held a fellowship in geriatric medicine at the University of Tennessee. She is board-certified in both internal and geriatric medicine.

From 1992 until 2004, Dr. White worked with The Emory Clinic at Wesley Woods Geriatric Center and was assistant professor of internal medicine at Emory University.

She has also served as a clinical physician for the NIH/CDC Chronic Fatigue Research Project and as a sub-investigator on clinical pharmaceutical trials for Comprehensive Neuroscience, Inc. Most recently Dr. White provided geriatric assessment and management for Southeast Geriatric Healthcare Group.

Dr. White replaces Dr. Harrison Reeves who retired from Lenbrook after serving for 23 years as the retirement community’s first and only years as Medical Director.
